RICHARD DWYER'S [1]. Irish, Reel. A Dorian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. The reel is the namesake of the composer who in the latter 20th century moved from County Cork, Ireland, to the United States where he spent some years in New York and Boston before returning home to live in Ennis Co Clare. Richard is a singer and also plays accordion and guitar. Luke O’Malley says that Staten Island fiddler Paddy Reynolds used to play the tune in the key of G minor.
