KILFENORA LASS, THE. AKA and see "Eviction (The)," "Harry's Loch," "Maids of Tramore," "New Glenath (The)," "Noonday Feast (The)," "Scatter the Mud (1)." Irish, Jig (6/8 time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB'. In a one-volume tune collection compiled by fiddler Ted Furey a note appears that "Kilfenora Lass" was composed in County Wexford by one P.J. O'Leary around the year 1800. Furey thought O'Leary was a piper.
