SALLY LOST HER SLIPPER. American, Reel. USA, Missouri. A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The tune was in the repertory of Miller County, central Missouri, fiddler William "Bill" Driver, an African-American fiddler who played over the radio and had a reputation as one of the best dance fiddlers in his region. R.P. Christeson recorded Driver playing the tune in 1948 on a wire recording machine. See also the related Missouri reel "Boys Around the World."
