HEIGHT OF PLEASURE, THE (Píce an t-Súgradh). Irish, Air (6/8 time). D Mixolydian/G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABBCC. The air is contained in vol. 3 (p. 118) of the mid-19th century music manuscripts of County Cork cleric and uilleann piper, Canon James Goodman. While the tune resolves to G major at the cadences, for most of its length it is in D mixolydian.
