LORD CASSILIS'S REEL. Scottish, Reel (cut time). C Mixolydian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Composed by Ayrshire fiddler-composer biography:John Riddell (1719-1795). His title honors David Kennedy, 10th Earl of Cassilis (c. 1734-1792), who succeeded in November, 1775, on the death of his older brother, Thomas, who had died without issue.
