BIG SANDY RIVER. Bluegrass, Breakdown. USA, Kentucky. A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Composed by Kenny Baker and Bill Monroe (1963). The Big Sandy River is a tributary of the Ohio, and forms part of the boundary between the states of West Virginia and Kentucky along its entire length.
