CHIMES. AKA and see "Birmingham March", "Captain Money's March," "Give me the girl that's ripe for joy." American, March (4/4 time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The melody appears in the c. 1785 American flute manuscript of Henry Beck. As "Birmingham March" it is to be found in the 1830's music manuscript collection of Shropshire musician John Moore.
