EDMONTON ASSEMBLY [1]. English, Country Dance (2/4 time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The melody is unique to Samuel, Ann and Peter Thompson's Compleat Collection, vol. 5 (London, 1788), although an unrelated tune of the same name Edmonton Assembly (2) appears in John Johnson's Two Hundred Favourite Country Dances, vol. 8 (London, 1758).
