GLASGOW LADYS. AKA and see "Countess of Sutherland (1)," "Lady Hamilton (3)," "Lady Hamilton's Reel," "Lady Sutherland's Reel," "Ridge (The)." Scottish, Reel. B Flat Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. John Glen (1891) finds the earliest appearance of this tune in print in biography:Joshua Campbell's 1778 collection (p. 3). Campbell also included a version of the same tune in his 1789 collection (as he did with several others from his first collection).
