HUMPHREY'S HORNPIPE [2] (Crannciuil Umfrei). AKA and see "Humphrey's Reel," "Olive Branch Hornpipe," "Reconciliation (The)." Irish, Hornpipe. A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Set in reel time, the tune is better known nowadays as "Reconciliation (The)." O'Neill's source for the tune, although not cited, may have been Boston publisher Elias Howe's Musician's Omnibus No. 6 (1880-1882), where it also was printed as "Humphrey's Hornpipe [2]."
