IRISHMAN'S CHOICE, THE. AKA - "Irish Man's Choice." AKA and see "My Mind Will Never be Easy," "Woo'd and Married and a'." English, Slip Jig (9/8 time). D Minor. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABBCC. The melody also appears in John Johnson's 200 Favourite Country Dances, vol. 8 (London, 1756) and again in Charles and Samuel Thompson's Complete Collection of 200 Favourite Country Dances, vol. 3 (London, 1773). It is a derivative of the popular older Scottish air and dance tune "Woo'd and Married and a'."
