MISS CUMING’S REEL. Scottish, Reel. B Flat Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA'B. The reel is attributed to fiddler-composer Biography:John French (1752–1803) of Cumnock, Ayrshire. Contemporary fiddler-composers Robert Mackintosh's "Miss Jessy Cumming" and Duncan MacIntyre's "Miss Cumming's Strathspey" perhaps refer to the same person, and, indeed, French wrote another tune for "Miss J. Cumming's Reel".
