MISS HUNTER OF BURNSIDE. AKA and see "Mrs. Macdouwal/Macdouall/Mrs. MacDowal Grant." Scottish. The tune was claimed by biography:Charles Duff, who published it under the above title around 1790, however, it soon afterward appeared as "Mrs. MacDowal Grant" in the Gow's Third Collection of 1792 ascribed to biography:Nathaniel Gow. John Glen, for one, suggests that Nathaniel appropriated Duff's melody without giving him credit.
