PUNCHEON FLOOR [2]. American, Reel (cut time). USA, Mississippi. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. A very different tune than "Puncheon Floor (1)." During the 78 RPM era Arthur Smith of Tennessee recorded a version of this reel as "Lost Train Blues," and Hoyt Ming and his Pepsteppers waxed it as "White Mule" (a simplified setting with a third part added). The coarse strain is very similar to a variation used for "Katy Hill (1)."
