The "Queen's Polka" is the name given to the polka by Terry Teahan (1905-1989). Teahan, originally from Gleantann, County Kerry, was a pupil of Sliabh Luachra fiddle great Padraig O'Keefe, and learned to play fiddle and concertina, although was perhaps best known for his accordion playing. He emigrated to Chicago in 1928, and was a fixture of the Irish music scene in that city.
