QUADRILLE CANADIEN -- 5ÈME PARTIE. AKA and see "Quadrille de campagne -- 5ème partie." French-Canadian, Reel (cut time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). ABB'B". Soucy researcher Jean Duval finds that Soucy recorded the tune several times under different titles (with slightly different second strains), but that it is the 5th part of a quadrille in all cases. See also Don Messer's later version, "Gypsy Hornpipe."
