Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. Similarities to the "Maude Millar (2)" family of tunes. See also the Co. Kerry reel "Kennaw's Reel (2)", cognate in the first strain, less similar in the second. The tune was recorded in 1927 as "Stokestown Reel" by Bowen's Irish Orchestra (Chicago) on Columbia 33445-F (78 RPM); Patrick Doran, flt; Wm McCormick & Joe Owens, fdls; Dennis Flynn, Sr. or Joseph Sullivan, pipes; Mike Hart, pno.
