SMITH'S HORNPIPE [3]. American, Hornpipe (2/4 time). B Flat Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. As with several tunes from the Boston-published Ryan's Mammoth Collection (1883), the hornpipe found its way into the repertory of northwest Missouri fiddler Cyril Stinnet and presumably other local fiddlers, probably via musically literate fiddlers who had a copy.
