An archaic-sounding reel from the repertoire of fiddler George Lee Hawkins (1904-1991, Bath County, northeastern Ky.), who was recorded for the Library of Congress fortwo days in April, 1946, at the Renfro Valley (Ky.) Folk Festival by Artus Moser. Hawkins was in his prime at the time, and his playing is skillful and unique.
