A Major: G Major (Rowsome). Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The "Wexford Hornpipe" has long been a favorite tune in uilleann piping repertory, with early recordings by Liam Walsh and Leo Rowesome (who called it "The Cork", although that hornpipe title us usually applied to a variant of "Harvest Home"). An untitled version was entered into Book 3 of the large c. 1883 must manuscript collection of County Leitrim piper and fiddler biography:Stephen Grier (c. 1824-1894).

The hornpipe is also played in the Scottish tradition. See note for "annotation:Pretty Maggie Morrissey" for more.
