TWIN SISTERS [1]. AKA and see “Pigeon on the Gate (2)," “Pigeon on the Gatepost (2).” Irish, Canadian; Reel (cut time). Canada; New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island. A Dorian (Brody): A Mixolydian (Perlman). Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB (Brody): AA’BB’ (Perlman). A floating title which appears with a variety of tunes. Perlman (1996) notes that some communities on Prince Edward Island call “Pride of the Ball” by the title “Twin Sisters.”
