MISS JENNY WEDDERBURN. AKA and see "Burn o' Cairnie." Scottish, Reel (cut time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. John Glen (1891) finds the earliest appearance of this tune in print in Biography:Robert Ross's A Choice Collection of Scots Reels or Country Dances or Strathspeys (1780, p. 13), however, the tune bears a strong resemblance to Robert Bremner's earlier reel "Burn o' Cairnie." Later, Niel Gow seems to have been substantially informed by these reels, which he reworked into his strathspey "Miss Ross (2)."
