SWEET KATHLEEN MACHREE (Caitilin Dileas Mo Croide). Irish, Air (6/8 time). B Flat Major (Joyce): C Major (O'Neill). Standard tuning (fiddle). One part (O'Neill): AB (Joyce). The song "Sweet Kathleen Machree" was published by Crosby in his Irish Musical Repository (1808), and begins: "Ye winds and ye waves." The air appears as "Paddy Frolic" in Alexander Kinloch's One Hundred Airs (London, c. 1815).
