"Mrs. Campbell Ardmore's Jig" was first published in Islay fiddler-composer biography:Alexander Mackay's Collection of Reels, Strathspeys and Slow Tunes (c. 1822). Mackay composed several tunes for the numerous members of the Campbell family of the small farming estate of Armore, on the western coast of Islay.
