X:1 T: Polonaise No. 29 C: N:From a music manuscript created by Joseph E. Sedlak, originally from N:Bohemia, who was a musician, music instructor, and dance band leader in Portland, N:Oregon in the 1860's and 1870's. The tune also appears in a manuscript by Henry N:Ehlen (1855-1935), a member of the Aurora Colony in the Willamette Valley, who N:played violin, clarinet, and cornet. N:The polonaise is a stately Polish processional dance, frequently used in America for N:a grand march to open a formal ball.
