REEL DES RENTIERS (LE). AKA and see "Set canadien 3ème partie," "Reel de Noël no. 2," "Reel des patineurs." French-Candadian, Reel (cut time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. "Le reel des rentiers" is a nearly identical version of "Set canadien 3ème partie," recorded by fiddler J. Alex Donato and pianist J. Hervey Germain for Starr Records in 1924. Québec fiddler T-Blanc Richard recorded a version of the tune as "Reel de Noël no. 2," accordion player Tommy Duchenes issued a recording of the reel under the title "Reel des patineurs."
