SPINNING WHEEL [1], THE. Scottish, Reel. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. Composed by wikipedia:J. Scott Skinner (1843-1927) and published in his Logie Collection' (1888) where he dedicated the tune to Mrs. Fitzpatrick, Keith. Skinner recorded the reel in 1914 as part of his medley "Birlin Reels" ("Auld Wheel", "Spinning Wheel", "Bride's Reel (1) (The)", "MacKenzie Frazer," "Fairy Dance").
