TARTAN PLAID [2], THE. AKA and see "Wild Salamanca", "Salamanca {Reel} [1]," "The Maigue's Tide," "Coronation Reel (The)." Irish, Reel (4/4 time). D Major ('A' part) & E Dorian ('B' part). Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. Co-composership of the tune was credited to North Kerry fiddler Paddy Bawn O’Sullivan by himself. A version of this tune appears as an untitled reel in Brendan Breathnach’s Ceol Rince na hÉirreann, vol. V (1999, No. 204, p. 97), obtained from a Radio Éireann recording of Glin, County Limerick, fiddler Mrs. Long.
