The reel O'Neill prints as "Clarkson's Reel" can be found earlier in print in Ryan's Mammoth Collection (1883) and Elias Howe's Musician's Omnibus Nos. 6 & 7 (c. 1882) as "Gem of Ireland" and "Green Pointed Rush Reel."
