"Humors of Flip" was entered by County Cork Church of Ireland cleric and uilleann piper wikipedia:James_Goodman_(musicologist) (1828-1896) in his large mid-19th century music manuscript collection. Goodman also entered a fragment of the tune (the first three bars) in Volume 5 of his collection under the title "Ardgroom", remarking: "I copied this from a little book published by an anonymous author, in 1825"[1].
