A Dorian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. A version of the Scottish “Haughs of Cromdale (The)” tune family. "Tralee Gaol" also shares first stains with James Oswald's "Wat Ye how the Play Began," and the second strain of 'Tralee' corresponds to the fourth strain of 'Wate Ye'. See also the shared first strains of "Four and Twenty Highlandmen (1)," "Lord Kingarth" and "Scotch Mist (3)."
