TIN WARE LASS, THE (Cailin an Stain-Earrada). AKA and see "Pewter Mug (1)." Irish, English, American; Reel or Hornpipe. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. A reel (Ryan) or hornpipe (O'Neill) of unknown provenance. Francis O'Neill often mined Ryan's Mammoth Collection for Irish (or Irish-sounding) tunes, and "Tin Ware Lasses" appears in both collections. However, unlike many such tunes Ryan's and O'Neill's settings of the tune are not identical and differ in several ways.
