Researcher Jean Duval finds that Boucher called this asymmetrical tune "La maquignon" (The Horse Dealer) in his unpublished 1927 version of the published 1933 collection. He notes that the second strain is similar to the first strain of Isidore Soucy's "Reel des sports," recorded in 1927.
