TURK'S MARCH [2]. AKA - "Turkish March." AKA and see "Dutch Skipper (7) (The)." English, March (6/8 time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The first two measures of "Calgarth Hornpipe" are the same as those of "Turk's March (2)", but the rest of the tune differs. The first strain of “Turk’s March (2)” is cognate with the first strain of Canon James Goodman’s “Farewell to the Highlands (2).”
