REEL DU COLPORTEUR. French-Canadian, Slip Jig (9/8 time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Montreal fiddler Joseph Allard's "Reel du Colporteur" is a derivative of the English country dance tune "Drops of Brandy (1)," which also has derivatives in Quebec as the 3/2 time "Brandy (Le)."
