"Cheltenham Waltz [1]" was entered in the 1829-32 music manuscript collection of East Yorkshire musician C.J. Fox. Under the title "Swiss Waltz" the same tune can be found in the mid-19th century music manuscript of William Winter, a shoemaker and violin player who lived in West Bagborough in Somerset, southwest England, and in the
