COOPER, THE. AKA - "Cooper (The)." AKA and see "Drummore's Rant," "Lord Drummore's Reel." English, Reel. England, Northumberland. G Major or Mixolydian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABBCCDD. Vickers gives an alternate title "Lord Drummore's Rant." The tune dates at least from the 1740's when it was included in David Young's manuscript collections as "Drummore's Rant" and "Lord Drummore's Reel."
