A different setting than Breathnach's "Lark on the Strand (1)." However, Breathnach does print this tune in his Ceol Rince na hEireann vol. I (No. 5) as "Primrose Glen (The)" which he maintains is the correct title. The tune came to be called "Lark on the Strand" as it was paired as the second tune with "Lark on the Strand (1)" on Sligo fiddler Micheal Coleman and Michael Walsh's 1922 recording. As is sometimes the case, both tunes came to be known by the first tune name in the medley.
