RISE THE WIND.   Irish, Reel (whole time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB.  The reel "Rise the Wind" was entered in vol. 2 of County Mayo farmer and fiddler Philip Carolan's c. 1863-73 music manuscript collection. Compare the first strain of "Rise the Wind" with the first strains of "Greenwood Lasses" and "Hand Me Down the Tacklings (2)."
