The tune, usually called "The Groves", was played by Pádraig O'Keeffe's uncle Cal Callaghan, from whom he received many tunes, and is thus known descriptively as "Callaghan's/O'Callaghan's Low" to differentiate it from the numerous other 'Callaghan' tunes.
