SIGNORA FERZE'S HORNPIPE. AKA - "Tiger Hornpipe (The)." AKA and see "Lady Ann Hope (1)," Irish, Hornpipe (whole time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle).  AABB.  "Signra Ferze's Hornpipe" is contained in volume 1 (p. 248) of County Cork cleric and uillleann piper [[wikipedia:James Goodman (musicologist)|]]'s large mid-19th century music manuscript collection.  Goodman also entered the identical tune again in his volume 4 (p. 81). The tune is a cognate version of John Pringle's "Lady Ann Hope (1)," and related to a large tune family (for which see note for "Lady Ann Hope"). Sliabh Luachra fiddler Denis Murphy recorded the hornpipe as "The Tiger Hornpipe or Signora Ferze's Hornpipe."
