FUNNY MISTAKE, THE (An Mearbal Cluiteac). AKA and see "Sir Philip McHugh." Irish, Slip Jig. C Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The slip jig appears as an untitled "Irish Jigg" in flute player John Clinton's Gems of Ireland: 200 Airs (1841). The Irish-born Clinton was a chief musician and instructor at the Royal Academy, London.
