FARMER'S REEL [2]. AKA and see "Golden Wedding Reel (1)," "Richibucto Reel." Canadian, Reel. Canada, Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA'BB'. No relation to "Farmer's Reel (1)." Perlman (1996) states this is a very widely played "good old tune" on Prince Edward Island, and believes the tune originated in the Canadian Maritimes (though it is also found in the northeastern United States). The tune is sometimes attributed to New Brunswick radio and TV fiddler Don Messer (titled "Golden Wedding Reel").

Source for notated version: Stephen Toole (1927-1995, Green Road, Queens County, Prince Edward Island) [Perlman].

Printed sources: Perlman (The Fiddle Music of Prince Edward Island), 1996; p. 48.
