LEAVING LISMORE (Fagail Lismor). AKA - "Lismore No More." Scottish, Retreat March (6/8 time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The tune, a piper's 'retreat march' (a slow march), is often played as an air or a waltz, is also a popular song tune. Set in waltz time it is also called "Valse Ecossaise." The island of Lismore (Lios Mòr) is in the Scotland's Inner Hebrides in Loch Linnhe, Argyll, a group of islands of the west coast of the country.
