Connie O'Connell is a fiddler player from Kilnamartyra, Múscraí (near Ballyvourney in west Cork). According to Breathnach (1985), the title is from County Limerick. There are melodic similarities with group of jigs under the titles ""The Aherlow Jig," "The Money I Want," "Quinn's Jig," "Ryan's Travels," "The Spirits of Whisky [2]," and "The Three Little Drummers [1]."
