LIEUTENANT MURRAY'S WELCOME TO THE 79th. Scottish, Pipe March (2/4 time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABBCCDD. Composed by Duncan Campbell, appearing in Logan's Collection, Book 4. The 79th Regiment is popularly known as the Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders, the only single-battalion regiment in the Victorian British army between 1881 and 1897, and one which mustered a number of Englishman in its ranks.
