LORD HARDWICKE'S/HARDWICKIS MARCH. English, Irish; March (4/4 time). England, Shropshire. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABBCCDD. Composed by Tom Cooke (1782-1848) in 1802, it became known as a military march. O'Neill records it was played in an 1884 Melbourne, Australia, concert given by Irish Uilleann piper John Coughlan.

Source for notated version: a c. 1837-1840 MS by Shropshire musician John Moore [Ashman].
