VINCENT CAMPBELL’S (JIG). Irish, Jig. D Major/Mixolydian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB’. The tune is associated with Donegal fiddler Vincent Campbell, and thus may have originated in that county. “Australian Waters” may be an alternate title, played by the late flute player Frankie Kennedy of the group Altan.

Source for notated version: piper Fran Meehan (Dublin) [Taylor/Tweed].

Printed sources: Taylor (Traditional Irish Music: Karen Tweed’s Irish Choice), 1994; p. 9.

Recorded sources: Matt Molloy & Sean Keane – “Contentment is Wealth.”
