MACLAINE OF LOCH BUIE'S REEL. AKA and see: "Highlander's Rant (The)," "Greetings to the Beatons of Mabou," "Mabou Reel (2)," "MacLean of Loch Ban," "Wildcat Reel" (a similar tune), "Willy McKenzie's." Canadian, Reel. Canada, Cape Breton. A Mixolydian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. A popular among Cape Breton fiddlers, and frequently recorded. The melody appears in Ross's Collection of Pipe Music (1885).
