COLLIER'S LASS, THE. Scottish, Dance Tune. Published in Henry Playford's 1700 collection of thirty-nine Scottish melodies. Later derivatives of the melody were "The Coallier's Daughter" (Gillespie Manuscript of Perth), "The Collier's Daughter", "The Collier's Bonnie Lassie," and the air for Burns' "Jock of Hazeldean."
